After nearly 19 years in the alpaca business, Sharon Loner wants to spend more of her time Judging Alpaca Shows, teaching/hosting alpaca educational seminars in the areas of fiber sorting, grading and skirting fleeces and working with small farms helping them sell/select alpacas and utilize the alpaca fleeces that may be accumulating in their barns, basements and garages! In order to move towards this endeavor within the alpaca industry Mile High Alpacas is selling their herd, either in whole or in part. This includes our Nationally known Herd Sires, Mile High Toulouse Lautrec (2011 GWAS Judges Choice, and Multiple White Male Champion);/ Multiple Get of Sire Winner and Sire of Champions; El Nino's Golden Legend;/ Mile High Bandimere (son of Brilliance of Peru) Bandimere's offspring are doing very well in the 2012 shows);/ Mile High Peerless Bay (multiple Champion (and show off!);/ Mile High Price Valiant (his first cria was born during AOBA Nationals and he's a show stopper already;
Multiple Champion, Mile High Tahona (2012 GWAS, A-OK Blast Off and TxOlan Color Champion).
As of 7-22-12 we own 24 alpacas; 14 females and 10 males at our ranch in Parker, Colorado. These alpacas are our breeding stock that has helped us succeed in the alpaca industry for many years, NONE of them are culls! Our females are the key to our success and have been working for us behind the scene.

Sharon and Frank Loner, owners of Mile High Alpacas, have witnessed first hand the extraordinary changes in the alpaca industry. When we started in 1993, finding alpacas for sale was a challenge in itself. Most farms (few and far between) were in early start up stages and every cria born and unborn was difficult to acquire. We managed to start with a small herd of 3 females and one junior herd sire. Our herd made a leap in improvement when we had the chance to attend and participate in a lottery bid at one of the first importations of Peruvian alpacas in 1994 in Charlevoix, Michigan. At the sale, our lottery number allowed us the rare opportunity to split a 6 pack of full Peruvian females with another local breeder and soon after we purchased a full Peruvian herd sire by the name of Peruvian Oro. After 17 years in this business we are more involved than ever and have enjoyed raising these incredible beautiful animals to the fullest while establishing relationships and friendships with the greatest people in the world. A reason in itself to be associated
